The same #airdrop: claim 35% now, or wait a year and claim 100%. If you don’t submit the form, you’re automatically opting for the latter.

Binance published an allocation announcement at 18:00 on October 28. Users holding Predict Points have to fill out a form and choose between just two options.

Option A is to claim 35% immediately. If you choose this, you automatically forfeit the remaining 65%—the announcement says that 65% cannot be recovered from the project team.

Option B is to wait until the project’s one-year staking period is complete and claim 100%.

The part that’s easiest to miss is the last sentence: if you don’t fill out the form by the deadline, Option B applies by default.

There’s another deadline, too. To receive your tokens on the day PREDICT launches, you have to submit the form by 17:00 Beijing time on October 29.

Miss that cutoff, and you’ll be put in the queue for the following weekly batches, with token distribution scheduled for November 6, 13, 20, and 27.

The final deadline is 17:00 on November 26. After that, you won’t be able to submit the form at all, and the default will apply.

Each person can submit only once, and the submission can’t be changed afterward.

One more thing: PP was earned by trading on Predict, providing liquidity, holding positions, and participating early. If you’ve never used that platform, this announcement doesn’t apply to you.

You can work out whether Option A is worth it for yourself. 1 divided by 0.35 is 2.857.

That means claiming 35% now is only more worthwhile than waiting a year for the full amount if your required annualized return is above 186%.

Put plainly: choosing A means valuing the tokens you’d receive a year from now using a 186% discount rate.

Conversely, if you’re convinced the token price will halve over the next year, taking 35% now is the better deal. The arithmetic doesn’t take sides.

On the afternoon of the 28th, the market had already made a move of its own. During the 14:00 hour, PREDICT perpetuals surged from 1.4421 to 1.99, then plunged to 1.316.

That hour closed at 1.7771, with $7.61 million in volume—48 times the previous hour’s volume.

The allocation announcement didn’t come out until 18:00.

Price moved first; the rules came later. Those two wicks say more than the announcement itself.

One more detail: the tokens will be distributed to wherever you hold your PP. If you hold it in a Predict account, they’ll go to your Alpha account; if you hold it in the wallet dApp, they’ll go to your Binance Wallet.

The real power to set the price isn’t in the options—it’s in the “default” column.

The product has already filled in the box you didn’t want to. When you can’t be bothered to fill it out, what you’re really choosing is the option it chose for you.

The announcement only says “after one year of staking with the project.” It doesn’t say how the annualized return will be calculated or whether the tokens will unlock linearly or all at once. I can’t say for sure.

Would you submit Option A, or leave things as they are?

The above is based on Binance’s original announcement and publicly available market data. It is not investment advice.
