C2FO, the world’s largest working capital platform, and Ripple announced at Swell 2026 in New York that financing and settlement for their new C2FO Instant Pay service will move to the XRP Ledger, with the RLUSD stablecoin as the settlement medium.

The problem they’re addressing is a familiar one: in supply chains, a company can wait 30, 60, or 90 days to get paid for goods or services it has already delivered. C2FO already enabled businesses to get paid early on approved invoices, but even then, the money could take several days to arrive through traditional banking infrastructure.

How it will work:

• Companies continue requesting early payment through C2FO as they do now.

• The payment is funded by participating capital providers and settled on XRPL.

• Suppliers receive the funds in seconds instead of days, with no changes to the terms or due date of the invoice.

Some facts from the article: RLUSD exceeds $2.5 billion in market capitalization, with more than $1 billion issued on XRPL, and the network settles in 3 to 5 seconds for a fraction of a cent.

My take: this is tokenization applied to an existing market with real transaction volume, not a lab pilot. For now, the service is on a waitlist, so we'll have to see how adoption goes.
