From tonight through Friday, the crypto market still has three hurdles to clear.
First, the Fed’s rate decision at 2 a.m. tonight. The market broadly expects rates to remain unchanged, but what really matters isn’t the decision itself—it’s what the Fed says at the press conference about its policy path for December.
Second, Thursday night’s PCE inflation data. Market expectations are currently around 3.6%–3.7%. Keep in mind, that’s just an expectation, not the final result. If inflation remains stubbornly high, expectations for rate cuts could cool further, which wouldn’t be good news for BTC.
Third, around $11 billion worth of BTC options expire on Friday. That’s a sizable amount and could intensify short-term positioning battles. But don’t assume the price will necessarily move toward the Max Pain level just because you know where it is.$BTC
