MRNAB’s bullish candle today has been pretty impressive. It’s currently at 215.42, up +16.09% over the past 24 hours, with a trading volume of 877K USDT, according to Binance’s real-time data. Honestly, the volume isn’t that high, but the gain is hard to ignore. I hesitated for half a second while watching the market this morning and ultimately didn’t chase it. Looking back now, I’m kicking myself a little, but I don’t regret it either—small-cap coins have thin liquidity, so it’s easy to get in and hard to get out. SKHYB is up +11.04% and SNXXB has also climbed +10.63%, so they’re heating up alongside it, but MRNAB’s surge on increased volume is still the main event.
Let’s talk position sizing. I learned this the hard way. The Kelly criterion may sound complicated, but the key idea is simple: don’t fire all your bullets at once. Work out your odds and potential payout before you bet. Fixed-percentage sizing is a better fit for people like us who get itchy trigger fingers: risk no more than 2% of your total portfolio on a single trade, and you’ll sleep easier. With pyramid-style scaling, do it the other way around: add only when you’re in profit, and add less as the price rises. Don’t build an inverted pyramid and bury yourself.
I didn’t take this trade—I’m just watching from the sidelines—but I still need to stick to my discipline. These are just my personal views and not investment advice.
