Yesterday I said I’d wait for the decision and not rush into shorting. The market didn’t prove me wrong today: $BTC is still hovering around 80,000, at about 80,800. But the money has already voted—and it’s split.
Put simply, ETF money flowed in opposite directions on the same day. On the $BTC side, there were inflows of 110 million on Monday and 176 million on Tuesday, for a net two-day inflow of 286 million. October’s net outflow has narrowed to just about 26 million. That still doesn’t make up for the 774 million poured out on Thursday and Friday, but the trend has turned. On the $ETH side, Monday and Tuesday instead saw a net outflow of 149 million. October’s cumulative outflow is 1.32 billion, marking four straight weeks of declines and the worst month since November 2025. Faced with the same Fed decision, institutions are fueling Bitcoin but not giving Ether a lifeline. This divergence says more than the price moves themselves.
Meanwhile, meme coins went wild first. A wallet linked to Justin Sun, according to Arkham’s labeling, holds about $51.25 million worth of $PEPE , or 2.82% of its supply. Two withdrawals from Poloniex were made on October 17 and 26. The attribution is based on a label, not conclusive proof, but the market is buying the story, and $PEPE surged about 10% in a day. Meme coins rallying on the eve of the decision—I know this feeling all too well: it doesn’t mean the bull market is back; it means the bold are placing their bets first.
The Fear & Greed Index has risen from 48 to 51, still in neutral territory. Nobody’s truly excited. The decision is at 2 a.m., followed by the press conference at 2:30. Nine out of ten are betting on no change; the real drama is whether Warsh says there’ll be a rate cut in December.

Just my personal opinion, not financial advice. After tonight’s decision, will you first watch $BTC reclaim 81,800, or see it revisit 79,900 and test the lows? Pick a side in the comments.
