BTC at 81K: who controls liquidity?
Bitcoin is trading near $81,000 today, up about 1.3% over the past 24 hours. The day's low was around $79,400 and the high was $81,150. The price is about 35% below its all-time high of $124,720, set in October 2025.
Technical analysis from an SMC perspective: the macro trend remains corrective, with the price well below the high. The 24-hour low swept liquidity below $80,000, and the rebound above $81,000 shows that the market reacted to that zone. Now the focus is on the liquidity above, around the recent highs near $81,150.
What I’m watching: I only consider a zone valid after it has captured liquidity. I’ll only enter when the price touches the validated order block, in alignment with the macro direction. Without that, there’s no trade.
What do you think—will BTC go after the liquidity above, or sweep $80,000 again? Comment below.
