U.S. spot BTC ETFs pull in another $176 million in a day, with IBIT accounting for 85%

TokenPost/SoSoValue: On October 27, U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs saw net inflows of $176 million, marking a second consecutive day of positive flows. BlackRock’s IBIT took in $151.5 million, while Fidelity’s FBTC brought in $24.5 million. The other products saw no inflows or outflows. The previous trading day (the 26th) recorded net inflows of $110.3 million. Net inflows over the past five trading days totaled only about $37.6 million—one day’s flows on the 27th alone exceeded the entire five-day net total. Meanwhile, spot Ethereum ETFs continued to see net outflows of about $60.22 million that day (ETHA saw $93.28 million in outflows, which FETH’s inflows were unable to offset).

【Viewpoint】
There’s roughly a 90% chance the FOMC will leave rates unchanged tonight, and the market is more focused on whether Warsh will mention a “December rate hike” at the press conference. The ETFs saw combined inflows of about $286 million over two days, suggesting institutions are adding spot exposure ahead of the rate decision rather than betting on a direction with leverage. But the five-day net total remains modest, so this rebound in inflows has yet to reverse the overall outflow trend in October. Flows are clearly concentrated in BTC, while ETH remains weak.

【Opportunities/Risks】
Watch whether IBIT continues to lead inflows after the rate decision; whether BTC can hold above a key daily-chart recovery level; and whether ETF inflows can withstand a second wave of selling if the press conference takes a hawkish tone. For ETH, first watch whether ETHA’s outflows stop.

Do you think that after tonight’s rate decision, funds will continue piling into BTC ETFs or flow back into altcoins?
