What exactly is a smart contract?
In 2016, The DAO contract was attacked due to a code vulnerability. Ethereum then underwent a hard fork, and the original chain that did not follow the fork became Ethereum Classic (ETC).
Smart contracts cannot access off-chain information themselves. To use external data such as exchange rates, they need an oracle to bring it on-chain.
Deploying a smart contract on Ethereum requires $ETH to pay for Gas. Currently, 2353.24.
Just a few notes, not instructions on what to do.
