CoinWorld reported that Robinhood CEO Vlad Tenev said the U.S. tokenization market needs lasting regulatory rules. On the company’s third-quarter earnings call, he said the SEC’s innovation exemption was a positive step, but uncertainty around regulatory rules was preventing investors from putting assets into tokenized markets. Robinhood plans to launch a tokenized private-company stock product overseas and is seeking a compliant path in the U.S. that meets investor accreditation requirements. In the third quarter, Robinhood’s cryptocurrency revenue fell 55% year over year to $120 million, while notional cryptocurrency trading volume fell 38% to $50 billion.
