The hashtag says to burn 100 million tokens, but the proposal text only says 55.5 million.

On the official governance forum, the proposal is to burn 55.5 million OSMO from the community pool to a burn address. About 44.4 million have already been burned, so if this passes, the cumulative total will exceed 100 million. The community pool currently holds about 119.3 million; after the burn, roughly 63.8 million would remain. Compared with the total supply of about 794 million, that’s a reduction of around 7%.

For now, it’s still at the forum discussion stage—the on-chain vote hasn’t opened yet, and the target date for going on-chain is October 30. Don’t mistake “100 million” for the amount that’s already been burned.

If it really goes on-chain on October 30, will the 55.5 million burn go through as planned, or will it be changed to an amount closer to 100 million?
