A Crypto Trader’s Take on Gold, Silver and Oil

October 27, 2026 · Before the Day Session

The Fed meets this week, yet gold has turned $4,000 into a floor. This morning’s setup: gold bullish, silver following, oil grinding sideways. Gold at 4076: buy on a pullback to 4060; exit if it loses 4050; above 4085, look for 4100 then 4120. Silver at 54.5: buy on a pullback to 54.2; exit if it loses 53.9; above 54.6, look for 55.5. Brent at 109.8: buy on a pullback to 109.2; exit if it loses 108.3; above 110.5, look for T1 112 and T2 113.5. This morning’s ETF pick: gold ETF 518880.

U.S. stocks closed higher across the board last night: the Dow rose 0.28% to close at 52361, and the Nasdaq gained 0.82% to close at 26169. The FOMC rate decision is up next, and for now the market is taking it as good news. The dollar is consolidating above 102, while Treasury yields are hovering near the 5% threshold, giving gold and silver a lift.

Oil: The $100 Mark Takes a Nap

Brent closed at 109.67 yesterday and was at 109.83 in electronic trading this morning, grinding back and forth within a 107–110 range. WTI has latched back onto the $100 mark and isn’t letting go. The range ceiling at 110.5 hasn’t broken, so don’t chase; wait for a pullback.

Gold: Turning $4,000 into a Floor

Gold closed at 4074 yesterday and was pushing toward 4085 this morning, leaving the round-number barrier in the dust. Silver at 54.5 is right behind it—the gold-and-silver duo are both celebrating. The dollar is pressing down, but gold isn’t backing off; rate-decision bets and safe-haven demand are driving it higher together.

Shanghai Session Playbook

Shanghai gold night session closed at 872.7: buy at 870 in the day session, exit below 867, target 880. Shanghai silver at 13104: buy at 13080, exit if it loses 12950. SC crude opened lower at 712; don’t try to catch a falling knife just yet.

Crypto Catches a Tailwind

Crypto bounced back last night: $BTC 80767 and $ETH 2345 both closed higher. The “digital gold” narrative is warming along with gold prices, but major players haven’t increased volume, so for now treat crypto as a follower.

Chart: Brent crude daily candlestick technical analysis (Oct. 5–Oct. 28 morning · America/Los_Angeles time; red = up, green = down; the last candle is still forming in this morning’s electronic session, snapshot at 109.8; bars show the intraday range; Brent electronic trading has no consolidated volume data)

Plain talk, sound logic: This is a pre-market outlook, not a money-printing machine. Size your own positions; don’t blame me if you lose, and if you make money, remember to buy me milk tea.
