There's something I've never been able to figure out: a Kanye-linked address withdrew another 4,000 $ETH (about $9.39 million) from Binance early this morning and deposited it into Aave. Its collateral has now grown to 22,504 ETH, against which it borrowed $31.02 million. Its health factor has slid from 1.51 to 1.41, and at an average price of $2,503.86, it's now sitting on an unrealized loss of $2.477 million. With losses like that, why keep piling on leverage as the price falls? Is this genuine conviction, or is it trapped and forced to tough it out, betting on a break-even comeback?
Pick a side in the comments: A, even celebrities are willing to go all in, so what do retail investors have to fear? B, a health factor of 1.41 means liquidation isn't far off—this is dancing on the edge of a knife.
