After the U.S. market closes tonight, Alphabet and Microsoft will report earnings back-to-back—and right now, trending searches on the Square have them ranked first and second.

The twist is Binance TradFi positioning: around 10:08 UTC+8, $GOOGL perpetuals were trading at about 326.2, up roughly 2.2% over 24 hours, with about $154 million in volume; around 86% of accounts were long, and about 90% of top-trader accounts were long. Meanwhile, $MSFT was around 531.3, nearly flat over 24 hours (about -0.2%), while roughly 57% of accounts were short.

Same night, same “cloud + AI capex” script, but the market is taking opposite sides—and bets on Google are already leaning long. Alphabet IR has scheduled its earnings call for 1:30 p.m. Pacific (around 4:30 a.m. tomorrow UTC+8), with results to be posted on its website first; Microsoft’s official announcement also says results will come out after the close on the same day, with its earnings call at 2:30 p.m. Pacific.

The market has already cast its vote. When the numbers come out, it will be worth watching whether Cloud growth and capex guidance meet expectations. If they don’t, first watch whether the side that’s already heavily long starts to unwind.
