Crypto trivia 📚 Lightning Network
Two users first lock bitcoin into a jointly controlled 2-of-2 multisig address with an on-chain transaction, opening a payment channel.
Once the channel is open, payments between them are just exchanges of signed records showing the latest balances. They don't need to put every transaction on-chain, so payments arrive almost instantly.

What circulates on the Lightning Network is still $BTC ; it's just that most payments don't need to be recorded on-chain individually. Currently 81044.02.
