Technical principles | Rollup submits results—why does the mainnet trust that they’re correct?
Each batch of results from a ZK Rollup comes with a validity proof. Once the mainnet contract verifies it, the results are accepted immediately, with no need to wait through a challenge period.
The idea behind validity proofs is “prove first, then confirm.” Correctness relies on the cryptographic proof itself, but generating the proof requires quite a bit of computation.
$ARB and $OP use Optimistic Rollup, while $STRK uses the ZK approach.
Don’t trade with borrowed money. It can cloud your judgment and push you into making the wrong decisions.
