When you arrive at Binance, it’s natural to look at prices and charts. But there’s something more urgent than choosing a cryptocurrency: protecting access to your account.
1️⃣ Turn on two-factor authentication (2FA). Go to your profile, look for “Security,” and review the available methods. An authenticator app or a passkey adds extra protection.
2️⃣ Set up an anti-phishing code. It’s a combination of characters you choose to help you recognize Binance communications. If it’s missing or different, be suspicious and verify the message through official channels.
3️⃣ Use a unique password. Never share passwords or verification codes, or allow strangers remote access, even if they claim to be support.
4️⃣ Be wary of urgent messages. If someone asks you to send cryptocurrency to “verify” or “unlock” your account, stop. Contact support through the official app and use Binance Verify to check the sender.
My rule as a trader: first I learn to protect what I have; then I assess market risks.
