The two high-performance chains that once vowed to take down Ethereum have been hit the hardest this month: AVAX is at 8.8, down from over 11 a month ago—a drop of nearly 20%. Its monthly low of 8.66 is right beneath it. APT is even worse at 0.68, down more than 17% in a week and 21% over the month, hovering almost right at its monthly low. Bitcoin is down just 5% over the same period and is still holding above 80,000.
My take: no one’s buying the high-performance public chain story anymore. Money is only going into Bitcoin and projects with revenue. AVAX at least has institutional chains and RWA to support it; APT still has token unlock pressure to contend with.
One question before bed: if AVAX holds 8.5 and APT holds 0.65, which one do you think will break support first? Or is this just the right spot to lie in wait overnight?
