Why do some candlesticks have such long wicks?
Here’s how I understand it: A long upper wick is often interpreted as selling pressure after the price rises, while a long lower wick often suggests buying at lower levels. But a single candlestick can’t tell you what will happen next.
The bars below the candlesticks usually show trading volume—how much was traded during each period. Their colors generally match those of the corresponding candlesticks.
My current habit: When comparing candlesticks, I make sure to check the time frame and what red and green mean first, so I don’t mistake a drop for a rise.
For reference, the current price is 80300.14, 24h +0.35%. $BTC
