According to Galaxy Digital’s third-quarter 2026 earnings report, the company posted net income of $323 million for the quarter, compared with a net loss of $85 million in the previous quarter. Adjusted earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA) were $455 million, and adjusted earnings per share were $0.83. At quarter-end, the company had total assets of $16.4 billion, including $4.9 billion in cash, stablecoins and U.S. Treasury securities.

In assessing the disclosure in Galaxy Digital’s third-quarter 2026 earnings report, I’m more focused on residual risk and when the information was reported. A single large loss figure cannot represent everyone’s trading results. Leverage magnifies the impact of price movements on margin and profit or loss, so reported performance, losses already realized, and the risk still borne by open positions should be considered separately.

Going forward, check whether positions continue to change, as well as the timing of disclosures and liquidation conditions. If a position has been closed or margin has changed, its previous liquidation level should no longer be used as a basis for assessing current risk. Which matters more to you: losses that have already occurred, or how much risk the remaining positions still carry?
