A few things to remember about on-chain data:
1) You can find out which block every unspent Bitcoin output (UTXO) was created in, and use that to estimate how many coins haven’t moved in a long time.
2) One person can have many addresses, and an exchange address may hold assets belonging to many users. The number of addresses is not the same as the number of users.
3) When you come across breaking news about “whale movements,” first check who owns the address and where the coins end up. Don’t place a trade based on the headline alone.
Transfers involving $BTC and $ETH are publicly viewable, and $ARKM is a token issued by the on-chain intelligence platform Arkham.
