Is BTC forming a bottom, or gearing up for another leg down? The key is this rebound above 80000!

Current price: 79619, down 0.50% over 24 hours. On the 4H chart, price has been making lower highs since 84875. It rallied and then pulled back near 80819, and has now fallen back below 80000. The 1H rebound is weak, with a short-term supply zone forming around 80364 and above 80000. Below, 79429, 79179, and 79000 form a series of liquidity pools.

1. First, look at the raw price action

The overall 4H structure is still making lower highs and lower lows, with no clear reversal for now. Multiple 1H attempts to rebound near 80000 have been pushed back down, indicating that selling pressure remains overhead.

2. Likely liquidity sweep path

The market is more likely to push price back up to 80000–80350 first, stopping out longs who chased the move and triggering short stop-losses, before moving down to test liquidity at 79429 and 79000.

If price breaks below 79400 directly, don't chase the short. Wait for a rebound and confirmation before entering.

3. Primary short, prioritizing the 1H timeframe

Initial position: 80000–80200, short 2%

Add to position: 80800–81000, short 3%, just beyond the previous-high liquidity pool

Unified stop-loss: 81350

Target: around 79500; second target around 78300

4. Secondary long, in case of a false breakdown below

Initial position: 78300–78000, long 2%, just beyond the deeper liquidity pool below

Unified stop-loss: 77600

Target: 79300–79600

Price is currently in the middle of the range. Don't chase trades; wait for limit orders to fill. Prioritize the primary short, with the secondary long as a backup. Use low leverage and scale in; use stop-losses. Staying in the game matters more than making money.
