【In-Depth Analysis】Deposits of tokenized stocks in DeFi have crossed the $300 million threshold, roughly 25 times the level recorded at the same time last year. Statistics from Token Terminal, cited by Cryptopolitan, show that as of October 26, the sector’s total value had room to grow from the $262 million recorded a month earlier. Looking back to the baseline twelve months ago, the figure was only about $11.8 million—an increase of 2,451.5% since then. The funds are spread across 20 issuers and 10 different blockchains, reflecting a diverse distribution. Notably, growth this quarter has been especially pronounced: the sector started at $80.1 million in early July and had surged to $265 million by September 30, an expansion of about 230% in a single quarter. The timing has drawn market attention because it coincided with two major events: Binance launched its bStocks product in June, while Robinhood Chain officially went live in July. By blockchain, Solana leads with $102.6 million, or 34.2% of the total; Robinhood Chain and Ethereum rank second and third, respectively. BNB Chain holds $42.8 million, while Base recorded $24.3 million. The top five chains account for about 96% of the total. Issuer data also point to concentration: xStocks alone accounts for more than 39% of the market, followed by Robinhood with $70.8 million. Binance bStocks contributes $38.4 million, while Ondo Finance accounts for $3.4 million. Overall, this wave of growth reflects the accelerating entry of institutional-grade products into crypto infrastructure. It remains to be seen whether the actual use of these deposits will continue to keep pace with on-chain activity.
