AI is attracting around $200 billion in expected funding in a single day, while the crypto market can only watch Bitcoin languish below $80,000. On October 26, Anthropic publicly filed an S-1 registration statement, applying to list on Nasdaq under the ticker ANT, with Goldman Sachs and Morgan Stanley as lead underwriters. The prospectus disclosed revenue of $16.3 billion in the first half of the year, up more than 13-fold from just $1.2 billion in the same period last year. Earlier reports said the fundraising could reach as much as $100 billion at a $2 trillion valuation, but the prospectus did not disclose the offering size or pricing. That same day, Meta announced an AI financing plan of around $95 billion, including a $35 billion underwritten offering and a subsequent $60 billion ATM program. U.S. stocks rose in response, with the S&P 500 up 0.7% and the Nasdaq up 0.82%, while Bitcoin fell back to around $79,800. As money flows into AI, the crypto market can only wait for Wednesday’s Fed rate decision to provide direction. #Anthropic #AI
