I checked the futures top gainers early this morning and was speechless for three seconds.
QUSDT was up 271% in 24 hours. That’s not a typo—it really gained 271 points. Trading volume hit $759 million, crushing a whole bunch of major coins in liquidity. AINUSDT was right behind it, more than doubling with a 101% gain and $109 million in volume. BULLAUSDT also surged 76%, backed by $260 million in trading volume. DOODUSDT was even more explosive, up 64% with volume nearing $500 million.
Think this is random? It’s not.
The logic behind this move is pretty clear: major players are targeting low-market-cap, low-liquidity assets and combining a rapid pump with a short squeeze. QUSDT shot up from a low of 0.052 to 0.236, more than quadrupling, and has now pulled back to around 0.20. What does that level mean? It’s a “bear trap zone” after the rally—some traders see the pullback from the highs and go short, only for the major players to push the price up again, liquidate the shorts, and then keep going.
When I look at this kind of market, I focus on the structure. QUSDT has already hit its intraday high. If the next daily candle can hold above 0.17, that means the uptrend structure is still intact, and bulls can look for short-term opportunities. If it breaks below 0.17, it’s probably in the distribution phase—don’t try to catch it.
AINUSDT is even more interesting. The AI narrative has been hyped repeatedly this year, but there’s always a new rotation. This time, AIN posted a 100% gain in the futures market. I haven’t looked closely at the on-chain data yet, but based on the price structure alone, if it can consolidate around 0.077 on strong volume, it may be worth waiting for a pullback confirmation.
There’s only one key risk in this kind of market: chasing the top. The 271% gain has already happened; if you missed it, don’t force a trade. Wait for structure, wait for a pullback, and wait for volume and price to align—that’s the kind of discipline a futures trader needs.
Do you think today’s explosive rally is major players shaking out the market, or a genuine directional breakout? Vote in the comments—I want to see what everyone thinks.
