Foresight News reports that Zcash co-founder Sean Bowe has published a ZIP draft titled “End ZCG Funding Stream and Redirect It to NSM.” The draft proposes ending the automatic funding stream for Zcash Community Grants (ZCG) and redirecting its remaining 8% share of the block subsidy to the Network Sustainability Mechanism (NSM). ZCG currently holds approximately 91,452.98 ZEC (about $125 million), enough to continue funding activities without further automatic block subsidy allocations. From the activation height onward, the 8% share will go to the NSM fund until the original funding stream expires. ZCG’s existing assets and governance rules will remain unchanged.
