📈 AI stocks rose yesterday, while crypto barely moved. Nvidia gained 2.4% on the day, closing at $216.
Anthropic publicly filed its S-1 on Monday, aiming to list on Nasdaq under the ticker ANT.
The filing showed first-half revenue of $16.3 billion, up 14-fold from just $1.16 billion in the same period last year.
However, its net loss was $80.7 billion, of which $72.4 billion was non-cash accounting charges—not cash actually burned.
Semiconductors moved higher across the board: Micron rose 3%, AMD gained 2.8%, and the Nasdaq was up 0.82%.
Interestingly, Bitcoin closed at $80,006 the same day, basically unchanged. Money flowed back to AI stocks first.
My view is straightforward: this is a sentiment rebound, not a trend reversal. The semiconductor ETF is still about 25% below its high.
I’d only call it a move back to strength above 217.75 (yesterday’s high). If it falls below 212.61 (yesterday’s low), that view is invalidated. I’ll watch from the sidelines for now.
