【One-Minute Explainer】What’s the relationship between private keys, public keys, and addresses?
The private keys for both Bitcoin and Ethereum are essentially 256-bit random numbers, and both use the secp256k1 elliptic curve.
You can think of an address as a receiving account, and a private key as the only credential for accessing the funds: you can share your account with anyone, but you should keep your private key to yourself.
By the way: $BTC is currently priced at 80300 (24h +0.35%).
If someone asks you to transfer money first before you can claim something, it’s most likely a scam.
