Crypto Trivia 📚 The Mempool
There isn’t one unified mempool across the entire network. Each node maintains its own according to its own rules, so the transactions in each mempool may not be exactly the same.
When a node’s mempool is full, it removes transactions with the lowest fee rates first. Transactions with fees that are too low may also be pushed out of the mempool.
At first, I thought knowing how to read candlestick charts was all I needed. Then I realized the fundamentals are lesson number one.
$BTC fees are generally quoted in sats per virtual byte (sat/vB). The higher the fee rate, the sooner miners are likely to select the transaction.
