The FOMC meets today, with the decision out tomorrow, and BTC is still hovering around $80K. What exactly is it waiting for? $BTC
As I write this, it’s bouncing around $80.2K. I won’t even get into Saturday’s dip below $79.1K. These past couple of days, the $80K level has been like a paper wall: it breaks below, climbs back up, then breaks again. I’m getting sick of watching the charts.
The ETF numbers are pretty interesting too. They saw inflows of over $1.07 billion in the first three days of last week, then more than $770 million flowed out over the last two days. That still leaves net inflows of over $300 million for the week. Even institutions are buying one minute and selling the next—it’s definitely not a united front.
The odds of holding steady are around 90% right now, but everyone knows the real question is whether tomorrow’s statement leaves the door open for December.
I’m not touching the little bit I’m holding. If I sell, I’m worried one sentence tomorrow will send it right back up. If I hold, I have to watch it bounce around the $80K mark every day. It’s annoying, but I’ll wait for the decision and see.
