Franklin’s dividend-to-Bitcoin ETF registration became effective today. BTC is still about 2.4% below the MA20, and I’m not chasing.
What I saw: The prospectus says it became effective today. FBEQ/FIBT are proposed to list on Nasdaq, with an initial allocation of about 95% U.S. stocks and 5% Bitcoin. Stock dividends are automatically reinvested in Bitcoin exposure. But the filing clearly states that trading has not opened and investment operations have not begun.
BTC spot on Binance is around 80145, versus an MA20 of about 82075 and an MA50 of about 81850. It’s not far from the October 24 low of 79220.
My take: Effective doesn’t mean it’s open for buying. Today is a regulatory milestone, not actual incremental buying pressure.
What I’m doing: Not chasing. I’ll take another look if the daily close gets back above the MA20 at around 82075. A break below the October 24 low of 79220 would mean the rebound has failed.
Would you chase BTC above 82075—yes or no?
