【Don’t mistake “not rising” for “nothing’s wrong”】

One of the most common mistakes retail investors make is assuming that when a coin’s price moves sideways, the risk is low and the opportunities are plentiful. TRX is down 0.2% over 24 hours and 0.5% over 7 days—at a glance, it’s barely moved. That doesn’t mean the risk has disappeared; it just means bulls and bears haven’t reached an agreement for now. Low trading volume suggests hesitation is outweighing conviction.

What I care more about is whether volume changes next. Rising volume signals a new consensus on price; a breakout on falling volume can easily amount to a few people squeezing through thin air. And a flat price definitely doesn’t mean demand for its use is growing.

In practical terms, this affects people who rely on TRX for transfers, fees, or liquidity, as well as projects hoping to benefit from this wave of traffic. For the business model to work, real transactions need to drive demand. Otherwise, with low trading volume, slippage and a lack of liquidity will show up first. Users will think, “It works, but there’s no need to transfer more,” and projects will struggle to turn traffic into revenue.

FGI is at 50, with the weekly average below 55—the market is neither panicking nor euphoric. TRX is 23.6% below its ATH, so the recovery narrative is still alive. But I’m not sure whether what it lacks right now is sentiment or verifiable growth.

I cut my losses in 2017, made money in 2021, then gave it all back. What I fear most is mistaking calm for certainty. I’m itching to trade, but this time I’m just watching the charts. What matters more to you: volume, application data, or waiting for a long wick on heavy volume?
