Imagine this situation:

You're making a trade on Binance P2P, selling your cryptocurrencies, and the buyer sends you a screenshot of a bank transfer in Argentine pesos. 💸

They also tell you they've already paid and ask you to release the cryptocurrencies.

What would you do? 🤔

Even if the payment receipt looks genuine, there's something fundamental we should all know.

🔶 A payment receipt does NOT confirm that you received the money

Screenshots and payment receipts can be edited or forged.

That’s why Binance recommends personally verifying that the funds have arrived in your account before releasing the crypto.

This applies to both bank transfers and payments made through digital wallets.

🛡️ 5 tips for trading more safely on Binance P2P

✅ 1. Check the money in your account

Log in directly to your bank or digital wallet and make sure the correct amount has been credited.

✅ 2. Check who made the transfer

Make sure the payment method holder’s details match those of your verified counterparty on Binance. Don’t accept payments from third parties.

✅ 3. Keep all communication on Binance

Use the order chat. Avoid continuing negotiations on WhatsApp, Telegram, or other external channels.

✅ 4. Don’t let anyone pressure you

Phrases like “I’ve already paid,” “release it quickly,” or “the money is on its way” are no substitute for confirming the payment with your bank.

✅ 5. Use the support tools

If you notice anything unusual, Binance P2P has an appeals system and customer support.

In the app, open the order, select Help → Appeal, and describe the issue.

💛 Did you know that Binance P2P has an escrow system?

During a trade, the seller’s crypto is held in escrow by Binance P2P until the appropriate process is complete.

But remember: this system doesn’t replace personally verifying the payment.

The most important rule is simple: never release your crypto without confirming that you’ve received the money. 🔐

💬 Let’s test your knowledge!

🇦🇷 You’re selling crypto on Binance P2P, and the buyer marks the order as paid, but you still don’t see the money in your bank account.

What do you do?

🅰️ I release the crypto because they sent me the payment receipt.

🅱️ I wait and verify that the payment has arrived before releasing the crypto.

🅲 I ask them to confirm via WhatsApp.
