Meta said Nvidia, AMD and Broadcom have expressed non-binding interest in subscribing for up to $5 billion in new shares. The subscription is part of a $22.5 billion common stock offering, while the overall financing totals about $35 billion.

“Non-binding” is key: an indication of interest does not mean a deal will happen, and neither pricing nor final allocations have been determined. Whether chip suppliers can use equity to tie themselves to a major customer will depend on the outcome of formal subscriptions.
