He’s back, he’s back! The guy who once had roughly $1.1 billion in long positions now has only about $2,000 left in his account—and he’s still using 40x leverage 😂

A popular trader reopened positions after going quiet for about 49 days. First, he went 40x short on roughly 0.49 BTC, with a notional value of about $40,500. Not long after, he closed the short in a flash and flipped long, going 40x on roughly 0.97 BTC at an entry price of about $80,220, for a notional value of around $78,000. He’s got only about two grand in cash in the account, and his liquidation price is hovering around $79,200. If the price dips another one or two percent, he could get wiped out.

He himself called it a long position with size, but when you look at the position, it’s just 0.97 BTC. That’s wild. Last year, this guy at one point ran his long positions up to a notional value of around $1.1 billion. His cumulative realized losses on-chain still stand at about $22.58 million. Falling from his peak to a $2,000 account and still going all in—people in crypto can’t help but sweat just watching him.
