MP Materials: A Turning Point for America’s Only Fully Integrated Rare Earths Leader
$MP Materials is currently the only rare earths company in the United States with an end-to-end value chain spanning mining, separation and refining, and magnet manufacturing. The company’s Mountain Pass mine in California is the only large-scale rare earth mine in production in North America. Its products are gradually shifting from concentrates to neodymium-praseodymium oxide, metals, and downstream magnets.
In the second quarter of 2026, the company reported revenue of $108.5 million, up 89% year over year. Including revenue from price-protection agreements, the total reached $126.1 million.
Neodymium-praseodymium production was 840 metric tons, up 41% year over year; sales volume was 1,006 metric tons, up 127%. The Materials business segment contributed most of the revenue and adjusted profit, while the Magnetics business segment generated $16.5 million in revenue and maintained positive adjusted EBITDA.
