Strive buys US$ 511 million in Bitcoin and reaches 43,000 BTC
📋 Summary
Strive bought 6,182 bitcoins for about US$ 511,4 million, raising its treasury to 43,000 BTC. The transaction brings the company closer to the largest corporate Bitcoin holders, but increases shareholders’ exposure to the asset’s volatility and the cost of its financing strategy.
Strive bought 6,182 bitcoins for approximately US$ 511,4 million between October 17 and 23, raising its total reserves to 43,000 BTC. The average price paid was US$ 82.732 per coin, including fees and expenses, according to a filing submitted on Monday (26) to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).
The acquisition represents a 16.8% increase over the 36,818 BTC the company held a week earlier. This strengthens Strive’s position among the largest publicly traded corporate Bitcoin treasuries, in a race that has gathered pace throughout 2026 despite strong market volatility.
Bitcoin purchase followed preferred share offering
The Form 8-K filed with the SEC shows that Strive’s cash and cash equivalents increased from US$ 317,5 million to US$ 504,4 million over the same period. The company also began reporting 7 million SATS preferred shares, issued in an offering completed on October 20.
The SATS offering raised about US$ 630 million gross. These securities pay an annual dividend of 15% of their par value and are part of the structure Strive uses to raise funds without resorting to traditional debt secured by its coins. On Monday, the company also announced a program to sell up to an additional US$ 1 billion in SATS shares on the market, with the possibility of allocating some of the proceeds to further Bitcoin purchases.
The pace of accumulation accelerated rapidly. On October 13, the company had announced a US$ 280 million Bitcoin purchase, which brought its reserves to 32,773 BTC.
