My view is straightforward: investors have already started buying the dip at Monday’s open after last week’s AI-driven selloff. The main trend remains intact.
First, the hard data (around 10:08 a.m. ET, 22:08 Beijing time):
The Dow was up around 0.5%, the S&P 500 around 0.4%, and the Nasdaq around 0.2%; the VIX fell to about 18.5. Brent crude was around $111 a barrel and WTI around $102, with oil prices easing slightly from elevated levels.
$NVDAB led the gains, trading at about $214.3, up around 1.6%. After falling for several consecutive sessions last week amid concerns about AI capital expenditures and financing, it led the recovery on Monday.
$SPCXB traded at about $145.2, down around 1.6%. After rebounding on Friday, it gave back gains today, and volatility remains high.
$GOOGLB Trading at around $318, down about 0.7%. Q3 earnings will be released after the U.S. market closes on Wednesday (10/28); cloud and advertising figures will be key catalysts.
Binance data is in sync: NVDAB is up about 0.9% over 24 hours, SPCXB is down about 1.9%, and GOOGLB is down about 0.8%; BTC is down about 0.9%. Risk appetite hasn’t fully returned yet.
Why am I still leaning bullish?
First, the indices and Nvidia are both back in the green, which suggests buyers are still stepping in after the sell-off.
Second, Anthropic publicly filed IPO paperwork this week. The AI narrative isn’t fading—it’s being repriced in a different sector.
Third, Google and Microsoft report earnings this week, alongside the Fed’s policy meeting. As long as the numbers don’t disappoint badly, tech sentiment has room for a second rebound.
Here’s the question: would you rather add to $NVDAB on the rebound, or wait until after $GOOGLB reports on Wednesday before making a move? Share your view in the comments.
