Eleven companies have already filed authorization requests as a Virtual Asset Service Provider (SPSAV) with the Central Bank of Brazil, with the regulatory deadline just four days away on October 30. At the same time, four platforms announced they were leaving the country, and at least one more global player signaled its intention to join the queue.

The first seven requests were from Transfero, Mazzera, PFPay, Masterpay, W Brasil Comércio, Onda Finance, and Wynx Exchange. In the following days, OKX, Brasil Bitcoin, UnblockPay, and the issuer of the BRLV stablecoin, Crown, brought the total to 11 confirmed requests.

OKX was one of the last major global exchanges to formally submit its application, and its CEO in Brazil, Guilherme Sacamone, described the moment as the culmination of years of work:

“Submitting this application is the culmination of years of investment in infrastructure, people and governance in Brazil. What we’re delivering to the Central Bank today isn’t a form; it’s a company that is operationally, financially and institutionally ready for the new framework.”
