Guys, GRASS has been holding up pretty well lately in the AI + DePIN sector.
It’s currently trading at around $0.71, up 19% over the past 7 days, 37% over 30 days, and 96% over 60 days, with a market cap of about $500 million.
Of course, it’s still a long way from its all-time high of $3.89 in November 2024 😂
/
It just so happens they released a product update this month, so I took a closer look:
On October 8, Grass launched its Contents API. Give it a link to a public webpage, and it returns clean content that AI models can read directly, in HTML, Markdown, or plain text.
This step is pretty significant. Grass used to mainly sell training data in batches. Now it’s starting to provide data to AI Agents in real time—that is, it fetches data whenever an Agent needs it.
According to tests published by the project, Grass had a 98% scraping success rate on a set of hard-to-scrape websites, while the runner-up managed only 71%.
/
Why can it scrape sites that others can’t?
Because requests are routed through residential broadband connections shared by users across the network. Many websites block traffic from data centers, but are much more lenient toward ordinary home networks.
/
Revenue is also something many people are paying attention to. According to reports:
· Revenue for the full year 2025 was about $17 million
· It brought in another $17 million in the first half of 2026
· The project expects $65–75 million in 2026 from training data alone, not including the Contents API
/
The risks also need to be made clear:
· There is currently no formal mechanism for distributing revenue to GRASS holders; node rewards are paid in USDC
· About 2.71 million tokens are due to unlock on October 28, around 0.39% of the circulating supply. It’s not a large amount, but according to the publicly available schedule, this is the last unlock with a specific date
· It’s up more than 90% in 60 days, so there are plenty of short-term holders looking to take profits
My take: I’m pretty positive about Grass’s shift from selling data to providing it to Agents in real time, and its revenue figures are more tangible than those of many AI projects. But the question of how revenue is tied to the token remains unresolved. After such a big run-up, the risk of buying at the top is high, so be sure to manage your position size.
This is not investment advice. DYOR.
