Casper Forward has welcomed 28 participants to its first cohort, bringing together developers from recent Casper hackathons to help turn their projects into applications ready for mainnet. The program is backed by Allium Network, ChainGPT, MarketAcross and Safe Edges, with a focus on helping builders tackle the technical and practical challenges that come after a hackathon ends.
The cohort includes winners and other promising developers from the recent Casper Agentic Buildathon and earlier Casper hackathons. While these events give teams an opportunity to test ideas and build working prototypes, Casper Forward picks up where they leave off, offering hands-on support to help projects take the next step.
"There's a lot of good work that comes out of hackathons, but getting a project from a demo to something people can actually use is a different challenge," said Michael Steuer, president and CTO of Casper Network.ย "That's where we want Casper Forward to make a difference. We're giving developers access to the people, tools, and support they need to keep building, get to mainnet, and hopefully grow into lasting projects on Casper."
Participants will have access to technical guidance, security audit support, developer tools, and introductions to ecosystem partners. The program also covers the business side of launching a project, from positioning and go-to-market planning to promotion through Casper's channels, webinars, and ongoing support after launch.
The Casper Forward team has already started meeting individually with cohort members to review their roadmaps, look at working demos, and discuss where they need help. These conversations will continue as the team works with developers to identify priorities and plan their next steps.
The program follows the recent Casper Agentic Buildathon, where projects explored applications across AI, payments, and real-world data. Among the winners were Faktura, CSPR402, and Claros, whose awards were minted as NFTs to recognize their achievements on-chain.
With its first cohort underway, Casper Forward is looking to help more of the ideas developed during hackathons make it beyond the competition stage and into the Casper ecosystem.
About Casper
Casper Network (CSPR) is a Layer 1 Proof-of-Stake blockchain engineered for regulated real-world assets and the machine economy.
With deterministic transaction finality, a multi-VM execution layer supporting both WebAssembly and soon EVM smart contracts, and fixed-cost operations enforced at the protocol level, Casper delivers the infrastructure for compliant asset tokenization, frictionless consumer experiences, and autonomous machine-to-machine commerce.
The Casper Manifest, the network's multi-year technical roadmap, advances nine coordinated protocol initiatives spanning developer access, user experience, institutional compliance, privacy, micropayments, and quantum safety.
The Casper Association, a nonprofit organization based in Zug, Switzerland, oversees protocol development and ecosystem growth.
