HUMA direction: Long

On October 26, it first plunged from 0.024 to 0.0175, down 27%. Then, in the past hour, it shot straight up from 0.0185 to 0.0224, gaining 21%. It’s now at 0.02238, while still down 6.51% over 24 hours.

What’s really worth watching is the long/short ratio: 66.73% of accounts are short, with a long/short ratio of 0.50. That’s even more extreme than the 0.84 you mentioned—two-thirds of traders are short.

More importantly, the funding rate is only +0.0036%, nearly zero. That suggests longs aren’t heavily positioned and forcing the price up; this rally is driven by shorts closing their positions.

This looks like a short squeeze in progress, not one that hasn’t started yet.

But the 24-hour losses haven’t been recovered, and 0.02462 is today’s high as well as a potential endpoint for this squeeze.

So the direction is long, but accept that this is a short-term trade: once the shorts have been squeezed out, the momentum will be gone.
