As of October 25, Bitmine held 6,051,933 units of $ETH , representing 4.95% of Ethereum’s total supply. It added 10,452 units last week—a marginal change that is barely noticeable against a holding of 6.05 million.
The other half of its activity is more telling: in the same week, it repurchased 2.04 million shares at an average price of $22.48. Since the start of 2026, it has repurchased a total of 22.9 million shares, spending $399.6 million.
Taken together, these moves suggest it would rather spend money on its own stock. I don’t think this is still a bet on the direction of ETH. What’s truly steady is staking: 5,227,037 units staked, or 86% of its holdings, worth about $12.3 billion, with annualized staking rewards of about $318 million.
