🚨 ⚱️⛽️⛽️🛢️🛢️👑👑👑👑Strategy’s market capitalization may have surpassed that of Nasdaq Inc. But a major data source puts it lower.

The comparison is between Strategy and Nasdaq Inc., not the Nasdaq Composite Index or the combined value of publicly traded companies.
Strategy’s dashboard showed a market capitalization of about $61.7 billion at the close on October 23. That day, StockAnalysis valued Nasdaq Inc. at $56.92 billion, which would give Strategy a $4.75 billion lead.
But there’s a discrepancy.
StockAnalysis separately valued MSTR at $56.10 billion on the same date, below Nasdaq Inc.’s figure. Another source, CompaniesMarketCap, put MSTR at about $61.84 billion, compared with Nasdaq’s $57.32 billion.
So MSTR’s own estimates differ by about $5.6 billion. Differences in the number of shares or calculation methods could explain the discrepancy; that’s why a consistent methodology is needed to establish the ranking.
The underlying business also matters. Strategy says it holds 848 517 BTC, but its dashboard also reports $6.71 billion in debt and $13.56 billion in preferred stock. Common shareholders rank behind those claims.
In my view, MSTR’s valuation reflects demand for bitcoin-linked shares, but market capitalization alone does not prove greater bitcoin adoption or eliminate financing risk.
Is Strategy’s valuation an important milestone for bitcoin, or does it reveal just how aggressively markets value leveraged exposure to bitcoin?
This is not financial advice.
