About transaction finality:
Chains based on Tendermint (CometBFT) consensus, such as Cosmos Hub, have finality as soon as a block is committed; there’s no need to wait for subsequent blocks.
Probabilistic finality is like a stack of paper that gets taller and taller: the more sheets piled on top, the harder it is to pull out the one at the bottom. Deterministic finality is more like a signed contract—you can’t back out once it’s signed.
