Question: How are contract trading fees calculated?
My answer: A Maker order is an order placed in the order book and waits to be filled, adding liquidity to the market. A Taker order is matched immediately with an existing order in the order book. Fees are calculated based on notional value. The higher the leverage, the larger the fees for opening and closing a position as a percentage of the margin: assuming a fee of 0.05% for both opening and closing, the total is about 1% of the margin at 10x leverage.
