📅 On October 28, Alphabet ($GOOGL ) will publish its results for Q3 2026. My forecast for Binance Pick: YES, the company has a chance of beating analyst expectations. But there are a few important caveats.
📊 What does the market expect?
According to Zacks estimates as of October 23:
▪️ Revenue — $111.64 billion, approximately 27.6% higher than a year ago.
▪️ Earnings per share: $2.94, up 2.4% year over year.
☁️ Why am I optimistic?
1️⃣ Google Cloud is growing rapidly. In Q2, the cloud division’s revenue increased 82% year over year to $24.77 billion. Demand for cloud computing and AI infrastructure could support results this quarter as well.
2️⃣ Search advertising remains an important source of revenue. In the previous quarter, Google Search revenue grew 17%. The key question is whether the company can maintain its growth rate as AI-powered search develops.
3️⃣ Gemini opens up new opportunities. Increased use of AI models and enterprise tools could create additional revenue streams for Alphabet.
⚠️ What could go wrong?
Alphabet is investing heavily in data centers, computing capacity, and its own AI chips. The company raised its 2026 capital expenditure forecast to $195–205 billion. If spending grows faster than revenue, it could put pressure on profitability.
There’s also an important caveat: earnings per share in the previous quarter were $9.11, but the result was significantly affected by unrealized gains from the revaluation of securities investments. So it would be misleading to compare that figure with the $2.94 forecast without taking this into account.
📈 My outlook for the stock
🟢 If Google Cloud beats expectations, the advertising business remains resilient, and management gives a positive outlook, the stock could rise.
🔴 If growth slows or AI spending disappoints investors, even strong revenue may not guarantee a positive market reaction.

My conclusion: I’m choosing “YES” for Binance Pick because the combination of a strong cloud business, advertising revenue, and Gemini’s development sets the stage for results to beat expectations. However, this is a probabilistic forecast, not a guarantee that the stock will rise.
Do you expect Alphabet to beat expectations?
