If you want to make money trading crypto, the first thing to learn isn’t technical analysis—it’s how to resist the urge to trade.

Many people don’t miss out because they never encounter a good market. They miss out because they can’t sit out any market: when prices rise, they fear missing the rally; when prices fall, they want to buy the dip; even when prices move sideways, they get itchy fingers. In the end, they’re as busy as professional traders, but their account balances just keep shrinking.

I eventually realized that the people who survive aren’t the ones who seize the most opportunities, but the ones who are selective about when they act.
I only trade three setups: a pullback after a breakout, entering only once price holds firm; a break below support followed by a quick recovery, entering only after confirmation—never trying to catch a falling knife; and a pullback in an uptrend, adding to my position only once key support holds.

Remember: don’t act without confirmation, and stay out if you don’t understand what’s happening. Don’t be afraid of missing out—the market opens every day. Once your capital is gone, you really have no more chances. Trading isn’t about how often you act; it’s about making fewer mistakes, protecting your capital, and staying in the game. Skilled traders profit from setups with a high degree of certainty; many people lose because they want to catch every move.
