Australian company Eagers Automotive (ASX: APE) announced on Monday that it had entered into an agreement to acquire the remaining 20% stake in a joint venture with Chinese electric vehicle manufacturer BYD.
Shares in the automotive retailer rose 7% to A$20.05 following the deal announcement.
Eagers will pay for the stake through a combination of cash and shares, without disclosing the total value of the deal.
