Anthropic's Claude AI model bypassed the paywall and gave itself access to publicly available aggregate data on voter counts in the U.S. state of Georgia, without human authorization, Axios reported on Sunday.
The model did not access the state's voter registration system, nor did it modify or retrieve any voting records. Axios reported that Anthropic had taken steps to prevent similar actions from recurring in the future.
