💰 SK hynix reportedly plans special dividend totaling around 16 trillion won

According to reports, SK hynix plans to return 80% of the proceeds from selling its stake in Japanese NAND flash memory maker Kioxia to shareholders as a special dividend. The total payout would be around 16 trillion won, more than seven times the total dividends paid last year.
Based on the current number of shares outstanding, the special dividend would be about 23,000 won per share, equivalent to roughly 15 times the current annual fixed dividend.
The company is expected to announce the plan when it releases its third-quarter results on October 28. It is currently considering whether to pay the dividend in installments.
The previously announced 40 trillion won share buyback and cancellation plan was completed ahead of schedule on October 21.
